About the topic: Long-term value begins with the board

Funds that adopt robust and progressive governance and sustainability practices will be better positioned to generate long-term value for superannuation fund members into the future. However, the importance of effective board culture and leadership for delivering strong governance is often underestimated. Recent controversies in Australia highlight the need for greater board accountability in the Australian market. But what are the key issues we should be aware of to hold boards more to account?

Susan will review how board structure and leadership can either improve or impinge on a fund’s ability to create long-term value for shareholders and also provide guidance on board best practices.
