Superannuation Training

Program Overview

Demonstrate your commitment to your role and the greater superannuation industry with AIST member accreditation.

What is AIST accreditation?

AIST’s membership accreditation program provides individuals with the prestige of being recognised for the valuable contribution that they have made in their role and the super industry.

Accreditation demonstrates your experience in the industry as well as your ongoing commitment to upholding higher professional standards by acknowledging the time you spend attending accredited training programs, professional development events and approved courses.

It consists of two membership levels determined by length of service and industry contribution (Associate of AIST and Fellow of AIST).

Who can apply for AIST accreditation?

Application to AIST's accreditation program is open to all trustee directors and fund staff working within AIST member funds.

AIST members who meet the criteria for an AIST post-nominal can apply today.

The AIST Member Accreditation Program is a complimentary benefit of your membership. No application fees apply.

If you are unsure whether or not you are an AIST member, please review our membership page to see if your fund is listed.

Information for AIST Members with existing post-nominals (pre 1 February 2016)

From 1 February 2016, AIST has simplified the member accreditation framework.

How will existing members be impacted?

  • Members who are currently recognised as an Affiliate of AIST (AIST(Aff)) or an Associate of AIST (AAIST), will merge into the single level of Associate of AIST (AAIST).
  • Members who are currently a Fellow of AIST (FAIST)  will continue to be recognised as a Fellow of AIST (FAIST)

These changes will be applied automatically by AIST, you do not need to take any action.
