Hear from a past winner

"It was an honour to receive the AIST Rising Star Award in 2017. As part of the award, I travelled to London to attend two days of meetings and seminars. The experience allowed me to better understand liability driven investment and has given me a deeper and broader appreciation of governance issues.

It gave me the opportunity to meet and network with a large and diverse group of professionals, including team members from Hermes and British Telecom Pension Scheme (BTPS). While in London, I also took the opportunity to meet with other pension schemes and fund managers. The research lab of one fund was a highlight of the trip due to the significant body of work on Machine Learning.

I highly recommend AIST industry professionals consider submitting an application for the Rising Star Award. The application process is straight forward and provides an opportunity for candidates to reflect on and promote their career success to date. Winning the award has provided a valuable learning opportunity outside of the office. We can develop our careers in various ways and this award has extended my career development and I thank AIST for such a great initiative."
