About AIST

First Nations Foundation

First Nations Foundation is a not for profit organisation with a passion for building a better financial future for First Australians. They achieve this by improving financial inclusion for Indigenous Australians, training in financial literacy and assisting the financial services sector to enhance their products.

AIST's donations will support the Big Super Day Out – an Indigenous community event to help first Australians find their lost super, consolidate accounts, and become educated about the benefits that super offers.

Despite more than 25 years of compulsory superannuation, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have poorer superannuation outcomes than non- Indigenous Australians – including significantly lower balances at retirement.

AIST is supporting this First Nations Foundation in line with its commitment to reconciliation and our mission to provide a better retirement outcome for all Australians.

Big Super Day Out

BSDO Musgrave 2

AIST is a proud principle sponsor of First Nations Foundation Big Super Day Out.

The Big Super Day Out is a great opportunity for super fund employees to help the Indigenous community better engage with the super system. Each event sees more than twenty volunteers from the super industry devote their time to helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples sort out their superannuation. It’s a fun day including entertainment, free BBQ, activities, and giveaways.

Anyone interested in volunteering at future events should contact First Nations Foundation on 03 9670 5904 or check out their website www.fnf.org.au
